Meta Audience Network

Meta's network for showing ads from Meta campaigns inside third-party mobile apps, chosen as a placement in Ads Manager rather than bought as a separate source.

Meta Audience Network takes a Meta campaign beyond Facebook and Instagram into other publishers' mobile apps, with rewarded video, interstitial, banner and native formats. It is not bought separately: it is one of the placements in Ads Manager, included by default in Advantage+ placements, and it uses the same targeting, pixel and conversion signals as the rest of the campaign.

For in-app buyers the comparison with Unity Ads or Moloco comes down to control and inventory quality. Audience Network inherits Meta's ad policies, gambling authorization included, so it is no way around moderation, and its results sit inside the Meta campaign, which makes it easy to overlook. Teams break the placement out in reporting and cut it when deposits lag behind installs. Unity and Moloco sell in-app inventory with their own models and policies, which is why buyers treat them as separate sources.

In buyer speech

“Break Audience Network out of the placement report before you scale; last time it took budget with installs and almost no deposits.”
