In-app

Advertising placed inside mobile applications via SDK ad networks.

In-app is advertising placed inside mobile applications through SDK-based ad networks — the interstitials, rewarded videos and banners users see inside games and utility apps. Inventory is bought via networks like Mintegral, Unity or AppLovin, and the format dominates mobile-first verticals where users convert on the same device they saw the ad on.

iGaming buyers lean on in-app for app-install funnels: rewarded video into a casino APK or PWA install, measured through an MMP. Volumes are huge and CPMs modest, but fraud and misclicks are structural — accidental interstitial taps inflate CTR while gutting conversion rate. Sub-source (app bundle) level optimization is mandatory; campaign-level numbers on in-app tell you almost nothing.

In buyer speech

In-app installs from Mintegral are cheap this week, but check dep2install by bundle — half those app placements are misclick farms.
