SubAffiliate
A second-level affiliate working under a larger affiliate's account or sub-network.
A sub-affiliate is a second-level affiliate who works under a larger affiliate's account or sub-network rather than holding a direct relationship with the advertiser or network. The master affiliate provides access to offers, tracking and payouts, keeps a margin from each conversion, and carries responsibility for the sub-affiliate's traffic quality in front of the network.
Buyers use sub-affiliate arrangements to access offers they cannot get directly — private caps, closed geos or networks with strict onboarding. The trade-off is a shaved payout and dependency on the master account: if it gets banned for someone else's fraud, everyone underneath loses tracking and pending money. Serious teams vet who else runs under the same account before committing volume.
In buyer speech
“We can't get that offer direct yet, so we'll run as a sub-affiliate under Max's account at a $5 haircut per deposit.”
