Business Manager
Meta's container for ad accounts, pages, pixels, payment methods and people with roles; Meta now calls it a business portfolio inside Meta Business Suite.
Business Manager is the container Meta uses for everything a team advertises with: ad accounts, pages, pixels and datasets, catalogs, payment methods, and the people who get roles on them. Meta has renamed it a business portfolio inside Meta Business Suite, but buyers still say BM. Verification of the business raises limits such as the number of ad accounts, and permissions like gambling advertising authorization are requested at business level.
For buyers, BM structure is risk management. A restriction on a Business Manager can take every asset attached to it down at once, so teams split ad accounts across BMs, keep admin access with more than one trusted person, and share assets through partner access rather than handing them over. Ban waves often hit at BM level, which is why the structure is planned before scaling, not after the first loss.
In buyer speech
“Move the new ad accounts to the second BM; if this one goes in the next wave, we lose everything attached to it.”
