Adult traffic is traffic sourced from adult-content categories and placements — tube sites, adult ad networks, and 18+ sections of mainstream inventory. It is defined by where the user comes from, not what you sell to them: adult traffic is bought for dating, cams, adult games, and increasingly for gambling and crypto offers that tolerate its intent profile.
Buyers value adult traffic for enormous volume at low CPMs, mostly via banner, pop, and native formats on networks like ExoClick or TrafficJunky. The catch is intent: users came for content, not offers, so CTRs run low and prelanders must work hard to redirect attention. Most mainstream advertisers ban it outright — sending adult traffic to an offer that prohibits it is a guaranteed payout rejection.
