Pre-lander
A pre-landing page/teaser that warms the user up before sending them to the offer.
A pre-lander is an intermediate page or teaser placed between the ad and the actual offer page, designed to warm the user up before they hit the conversion ask. Common formats include advertorials, quiz flows, spin-the-wheel games, and story-style testimonials — content that builds interest and intent so the user arrives at the offer already sold.
In iGaming and nutra buying, pre-landers frequently double or triple conversion rates on cold traffic, and wheel-of-fortune pre-landers are practically the default for casino offers. They also serve as a compliance buffer, absorbing aggressive claims the offer page can't carry. The pitfall is adding friction without adding intent — a weak pre-lander just leaks clicks, so test direct-to-offer against the pre-lander flow and let EPC decide.
In buyer speech
“Test the wheel pre-lander against direct linking on the casino offer — my bet is reg-to-dep improves enough to cover the click loss.”
