A landing page is the destination page a user reaches after clicking an ad, built with a single purpose: converting that visitor into a lead, install, registration, or deposit. Unlike a general website it strips away navigation and distractions, presenting one message matched to the ad and one clear call to action, with every element measured against its effect on conversion rate.
For media buyers the lander is half the funnel economics — the same traffic can produce wildly different EPCs depending on page speed, message match, and offer presentation. Buyers routinely split-test landers as aggressively as creatives, and slow load time on mobile is the silent killer, especially in Tier-2 and Tier-3 GEOs. Owning your own landers, rather than direct-linking, also gives you pixel data and retargeting options.
