CPC

Cost Per Click — payout or spend calculated per click on an ad.

Cost Per Click is the pricing unit where spend or payout is calculated per individual click on an ad. On the buying side it is what you pay the traffic source for each click delivered; in auction-based platforms like Google Ads or push networks, CPC is set by your bid and competition rather than a fixed rate card.

CPC is the top-line cost every funnel calculation starts from: multiply it through your CTR, CR, and payout and you know whether a campaign can ever be profitable. Buyers get burned by chasing cheap clicks — a $0.03 push click from a bot-heavy source is more expensive than a $0.50 click that converts. Always evaluate CPC together with downstream EPC, never in isolation.
