Audience Drop-Off

The point in a funnel where the largest share of users abandon the process.

Audience drop-off is the point in a funnel where the largest share of users abandon the process — the step where the audience thins most sharply between entry and conversion. Mapping drop-off means measuring how many users survive each stage: ad click to lander, lander to registration form, form start to submission, registration to deposit.

Finding the biggest drop-off is the highest-leverage optimization work a buyer can do, because fixing the worst leak beats polishing steps that already perform. Common culprits in iGaming funnels are long registration forms, SMS verification steps, and cashier pages with unfamiliar payment methods. Instrument every step in the tracker or analytics, fix the single worst stage, then remeasure — funnels shift, and last quarter's bottleneck is rarely this quarter's.

In buyer speech

The funnel report shows 60% drop-off at the SMS verification step — ask the brand if they can move it after the first deposit.
